AUDIENCE RESEARCH ONE
We found when they didnt like the trailer it was because not enough desciption was given, they seemed to not like the idea of not having too much continuiety.
They didnt like the fact one of the trailers gave too much away. They liked the fact you could introduced to the chracters individually.
They liked the fast pace music to the trailer.

AN IDEA FOR OUR FILM POSTER
I particularly like this poster because of the font which
has been edited to seem more ‘chalkish’. I believe it relates to the film
narrative as the story is going to be scripted around a teacher’s life. The
font used is named Buttercream. However, to make the font seem as if it has
been written with chalk, I had to use Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur and then change
the setting to 0.5. After the Gaussian Blur, I added a stroke effect named
Parchment. After this I used the eraser tool on opacity 30% and started to
erase around the edges of the text to seem more realistic.
Overall I believe the text used in this poster should
definitely be repeated in our final poster, as it conveys a strong indication
of our film narrative.

TRAILER SCRIPT IDEAS
( teacher goes to sit with kids at lunch, opens up biscuits
and offers them around, the kids run away)
1.(wide shot of the teacher running into school then running
up the stairs then into a classroom, sits down, exhausted, the kids come in
shouting)
Student: ‘ miss I
forgot my homework, the dog ate it’ (the class giggles)
Karen: ‘oh, oh
okay, poor dog! How is he?
Student: (looks
at her funny) ‘yh hes fine miss’
2. (Karen walks towards the staff room, is grabbed by a
teacher)
Teacher: Karen I
need those year 8 papers marked by the end of the day, oh and we have parents
evening tomorrow so you need to be prepared for that by tomorrow morning’
Karen: oh okay,
yep I’ll do that in one minute I was just going to have a little break, I
haven’t stopped all day, john wanted me to help him with his marking but
then….. ( tries to keep talking to the other teacher but the teacher walks off
when she’s in mid-sentence)
(shot of her looking disappointed, walking into the
staffroom, going to make herself a cup of tea)
Karen: um, does
anyone else want a tea? (offering to the whole staffroom)
(everyone says yes without looking up from what they’re
doing) (Karen looks exhausted)
3. (shot of her walking into her house and past the next
door neighbour saying hello with a huge smile on her face, opens her front door
and then when she gets home she slumps on her sofa, looks sad and drops to
sleep)
(alarm rings) close up of her face in bed, wearing a face
mask, turns off the alarm and looks shocked, wakes up in a hurry shouting)
Karen: shit shit shit shit shit (chucking on clothes )
Running into school long shot behind her. – tracking shot

FILM TITLE IDEAS
Most of the British Realist films that we have looked at have had very un-cliched and deep titles, they have all been quite self explanatory and simple, such as 'happy go lucky', 'life is sweet', and 'this is england'. Therefore we want to make our title something similar.
As we are creating a film about a teacher it should hint at the idea but subtly.
We could name the character Ms Wright and use a play on words, such as 'Getting It Wright' but then we thought if people took a first glance at the poster without knowing the characters name that they might think its a spelling mistake. However, we then thought as a possible idea where we call her Ms Dunn and name the title 'Get the Job Dunn' as the film will be mostly about her job.

FILM POSTER IDEAS
When working on a mock for our film poster we first looked online for photos of teachers to use as a template. When i came across this image i had an idea for our film poster. I thought that we could get our teacher actor to stand infront of a board just like this and instead of writting encouraging words or something random she could be writting words that are accosisated with the stresses she has to deal with in school. This could act as a huge insight to the films purpose and story and also still be quite neat and simple, something we want to create.
