MAGAZINE CONVER ANALYSIS
This little white lies magazine cover had very limited text. I felt this makes the magazine look like more of a niche audience and less of a main stream magazine. The illustration of the character gives more of an arty connection with the audience letting them know the information in the magazine would be more focused on the film and artwork than the actor in the film like most mainstream magazines. The illustration connects with the fact this film is a marvel comic film. The colours of the suit are iconic to the film and stand out even more with the pink in the background, as there is pink dripping on his face this could suggest the pink is blood.
This Empire magazine cover version of the Kick- Ass film is definitely more main stream. We can see this by the amount of text they use, how they use it and the images they’ve used. We can tell the guy at the front is the main character as he is central focus of the magazine. The use of colloquial language also attracts a younger audience. The use of text could attract the audience more than the ‘little white lies’ magazine as the rule of three is used a lot to attract the audience and make the magazine more interesting. The border at the top of the page stating the free fold out collectors cover could also attract a younger audience as younger people would be more interested in posters than older.
